Crane rail material grade
Crane rail material grades include low carbon steel, high yield strength steel, carbon steel, boron steel, and low alloy steel.
Crane rail is used for carrying heavy objects, which have high bearing capacity. Crane rail is also called crane rail. Its height is low and its head width and waist thickness are large. It is required to check the chemical composition and tensile strength. Used for laying crane and trolley rails.
Crane rail materials are manganese steel, carbon steel, high silicon copper, copper rail, silicon rail, and so on. The railway rail is composed of steel, which can be divided into ordinary manganese-containing steel rail, copper-containing ordinary carbon steel rail, high silicon copper-containing steel rail, copper rail, manganese rail, silicon rail, etc. Most crane rails adopt U71Mn, and most light rails are made of Q235 and 55Q; Most heavy rails are made of 45MN and 71mn
Among the crane rail material grades, U71Mn is the best material. Because adding 2-3% manganese into the steel, the low manganese steel is as brittle as glass. However, if adding > 13% manganese to make high manganese steel, it will become both hard and ductile. Therefore, people use manganese steel to make wear-resistant machine parts, bridges, and crane rails.
