The remote control technology and the stepless speed regulation technology appearing in the control of tower cranes have improved the reliability of the operation safety of tower cranes. With the introduction of microcomputer and electronic technology, excellent safety devices and diagnostic systems have emerged.

We should strengthen the routine safety management of tower cranes. The conventional safety management of tower cranes is to formulate and implement the following procedures and management systems, namely safety technical operation procedures, equipment leasing system, inspection and repair system, handover system, equipment maintenance procedures, and establishment of equipment file system. A clear metal nameplate should be attached to the obvious position of the tower crane, including the name, model, rated weight, main technical parameters, manufacturer, date of manufacture, etc. of the tower crane.

The use of robots can greatly improve the reliability and safety of tower crane operations. Another application of artificial intelligence in the construction industry is an expert system, which can use the knowledge and experience of experts to help users find the cause and location of the fault efficiently and quickly, and propose corresponding measures.
Due to social stability, the development prospects of the construction industry are good. As the main transportation machinery of the construction industry, the tower crane market will maintain a good state for a long time. At the same time, with the continuous progress of human civilization, people are increasingly cherishing life and health. It will also increasingly recognize the importance of security. In the next few decades, people will improve the safety of tower cranes through the following channels.
