What is a monorail crane?

A Monorail crane uses a special I-beam hanging above the roadway as the track, which is connected to a vehicle group by hanging vehicles with various functions and is towed by traction equipment. It is a system running along the track. It is a substitute for a traditional crane or conveyor and is used for lifting equipment. Manufacturers usually use these cranes to move materials or products in limited areas rather than throughout the building. Its traction power can be provided by steel wire rope, diesel engine, battery, or pneumatic device.
Monorail crane has a small section and high utilization rate of roadway section space; It can be used for continuous non-transfer transportation of drift and inclined roadway. Its transportation load is not limited by floor conditions, and can operate on various vertical curves, horizontal curves, and complex curves; It can complete the auxiliary transportation from the mining area parking lot to the working face without transfer and can be used for the auxiliary transportation operation connecting the main transportation roadway and the mining area roadway.
And the monorail crane is an automatic lifting device with convenient loading and unloading, low labor intensity, and low investment and maintenance cost. Using a diesel engine or motor traction, it has good flexibility and unlimited transportation distance. It can transport personnel, materials, and equipment to any place needed. It has a strong climbing ability. The maximum inclination of a diesel locomotive can reach 30 ° and a battery locomotive can reach 15 °.
